The following sentence from the article

"The larvae, which are exclusively found submerged in oil ..."

contradicts the sentence in the paragraph above it (that larvae migrate to grass stems to pupate). Article needs work by someone familiar with the species.Gina L. Serman Reid (talk) 04:40, 10 December 2008 (UTC) Reply

  • the point is that they are found to live (feed, etc.) exclusively in petroleum. this does not rule out that they emerge from it to pupate. i clarified this in the text. --Sarefo (talk) 21:53, 15 December 2008 (UTC) Reply
