This article is written in Canadian English , which has its own spelling conventions (colour, centre, travelled, realize, analyze) and some terms may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.

If someone has a source, could we mention the 'finger' incident in 1994. Though the Habs denied it, many felt the incident led to Carbonneau's being traded. GoodDay 22:56, 19 January 2007 (UTC) Reply

"During a Stanley Cup party hosted by drummer Vinnie Paul, the Stanley Cup was damaged when Guy Carbonneau attempted to throw the Cup from the roof of Vinnie Paul's house into his pool.
