I am a curator at FlyBase, and we have noticed that several things mentioned on this page are out of date (have been eliminated, have been replaced by newer features, have newer relevant citations, etc.). As an employee of FlyBase (a US NIH and UK MRC funded project), I shouldn't be doing major edits according to the Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest guidelines. Would any of the recent editors of this page be interested in helping with updates to this page, to provide an external set of eyes?
