The keyboard in DIDAKTIK ALFA (and alet Beta), was a military-grade rugged, you could hammer it, and it would not complain. The way this was done that the top of the key was in a sliding mechanism and holding a small magnet, this could be lowered by pressing the key, which then got closer to a Hall effect sensor. This solution was pretty expensive, and still lacked the agility necessary for true gaming, as the key would not move if you pressed it with a lot of side force. It was however a very well overengineered piece of equipment.
