Improving the caption of the transcription in the article
[edit ]Whoever inserted the transcription of the 2 part conductus "Luget Rachel iterum" did not even give it a caption.
I've inserted some sort of caption but more details are available for that picture in the article Кондукт on the Russian Wikipedia.
For convenience here they are:
- Пример современной расшифровки анонимного кондукта «Luget Rachel» (начало).
- Мелизматические («хвостатые») разделы А и В в оригинальной нотации мензурированы, здесь переданы в системе модальной ритмики.
- Силлабический («бесхвостый») раздел Б в оригинале не мензурирован, здесь транскрибирован четвертными головками без штилей.
Using Google Translate I think I could make out some of it:
- Example of modern transcription of the anonymous conduct «Luget Rachel» (beginning).
- Melismatic ("Cum cauda") first ("A") and third ("B") sections in mensural notation in the original transcribed here according to the system of modal rhythm.
- Syllabic ("Sine cauda") second ("Б") section in non-mensural notation in the original transcribed here in quarter-note heads with no stem.
But I'm not confident enough this is correct to go and insert it in the article. So if you know Russian you may wanna expand the caption of that transcription in the article using the Russian text above.

- The alhabetic sequence here is А Б В (first three letter of the Russian alphabet). Black notes without stems are commonly used by modern transcriptors for non-mensural sections of medieval music (such as in this conductus and everywhere else). Thank you for parsing my oversight!
