Reflects that she is eleventh in the line of succession, but she is really twelfth.--Jeffgriffinsignal (talk) 19:03, 31 March 2026 (UTC) Reply

References cleanup

Latest comment: 4 months ago 2 comments1 person in discussion

For the most part, the references have been tidied up. That is all I will do for now. Honestly, my recommendation is to review this article and eliminate things that feel more like trivia than relevant information as to her importance. Example: her equestrian appearances? Is it really necessary to list each one, or to list her horses, or each event competed in? Some notable events, where she accomplished a high score perhaps, but I doubt each one is necessary. Just my thoughts. ----Jeffgriffinsignal (talk) 12:57, 23 March 2026 (UTC) Reply

Today I added the information of her latest philosophical and literary work under the philosophy section. I cleaned up the equestrian section a bit. There had been a list of cities where she competed. I thought that was unnecessary. I summarized it as 'around Europe.' I left the references in this section intact, but these could probably be culled as well. I doubt every one of them is needed. Jeffgriffinsignal (talk) 13:43, 26 March 2026 (UTC) Reply

Charlotte Marie Pomeline Casiraghi of Monaco , umm she is not a Royal or Princess and is therefore not Charlotte of Monaco. Mac Domhnaill 04:29, 24 December 2005 (UTC) Reply

True. I think there is a better way to word it.... "commonly/inaccurately referred to in press as...."? Though it might be best just take that out completely. A long time ago, it might have been necessary, when hardly anyone seemed to know who was Charlotte Casiraghi. But now more and more people seem to recognize the Casiraghi name. Yet very recently, her brother Pierre was referred to as Prince Pierre of Monaco on a news blog, I forgot which. And in 2008, in the Philippines, there was reference in the serious newspapers there to "Prince Andrea of Monaco." And that was an official trip!

Is the right of male primogeniture still valid in Monaco, even with the new constitution amendments? I believe it is, but I would like a confirmation.

The primogeniture law still applies in Monaco's succession law, even after the 2002 amendment. Other things were altered, but not that. -- --~2026-17510-25 (talk) 19:16, 20 March 2026 (UTC) Reply

School Advertising?

What have the schools she attended to do with an encyclopedia? Sure, you should cite them but not link their website. If you did this with EVERY vip in wikipedia, we would have millions of external links. Why is her biography different than others? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.208.106.73 (talk) 20:13, 19 March 2009 (UTC) Reply

I agree. I removed the school links except her secondary school, because that was the one school not with a wiki link in article.

First Flirtation

Where does this come from? Hubertus Herring was born in 1979 - therefore at the Monaco Grand Prix 2001 he was 22 and she 14!! He is just the owner of the neighbouring hunt of Ernst August in Austria and therefore has a lot to do with the family! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Austin19 (talkcontribs) 10:54, 30 May 2009 (UTC) Reply

This was changed. Since her friendship was exaggerated in the tabloids, I changed the reference here to reflect that, though there is more likelihood of this pair merely being friends, the tabloids exaggerated the relationship as to suggest there was a romance between them. I didn't want to fully remove the reference because there is a history of press coverage about the relationship, whatever its nature.

I vouch for there being some translation of of her educational accomplishments set in parentheses. With, for example, hypokhâgne and khâgne. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.146.144.86 (talk) 23:39, 14 June 2012 (UTC) Reply

Misleading phrase "child of Caroline, Princess of Hanover"

[edit ]
Latest comment: 7 months ago 2 comments2 people in discussion

"child of Caroline, Princess of Hanover" implies that Charlotte was born to a Princess of Hanover. Actually, when Charlotte was born, Caroline wasn’t yet a Princess of Hanover. Caroline became a Princess of Hanover much later, when she remarried after Caroline’s birth father died. ~2025-43132-95 (talk) 20:32, 26 December 2025 (UTC) Reply

That implies no such thing. Surtsicna (talk) 20:53, 26 December 2025 (UTC) Reply
