Spelling of Name

[edit ]

Both Wikipedia and IMDB spell her name as Catherine, but all movie credits (and a bio in the New York Times from 1958) list it as Catharine. Should this article be changed to reflect the correct spelling?Fultie771 (talk) 14:30, 5 April 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Hi. Can you provide some other sources? Happy to move it if she is mainly listed as Catharine. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:52, 5 April 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

I'm not sure of a precise source... Every film that I've seen of hers shows the credits as Catharine. There are also numerous autographs of hers on various auction sites which show Catharine. In fact, I can't find one mention from her era that spells it as Catherine. I would gently ask, is there a reliable source (other than original research) for the spelling Catherine?
