BPCS is notable

Prior to Y2K, BPCS had a quarter of a million manufacturers worldwide using this as their ERP. Perhaps because SSA was slow to achieve Y2K compliance, many of SSA's customers migrated to competing ERP packages that achieved this before SSA.

There have also been issues for all ERP vendors in balancing Internet access, GUI-friendly, ease-of-use, inexpensive demands upon whatever server, performance. User:AlMac|(talk) 01:02, 24 December 2005 (UTC) Reply

SSA corporate giant

BPCS is the software brainchild of SSA, which, after its bankrupsy, was bought out by Gores Technology, no relation to the famous Albert Gore, and renamed SSA GT, went on an aquisition spree, that as of 2005 had put it into the top 10 ERP vendors worldwide. This year SSA GT was aquired by Infor, another ERP vendor, making the new conglomerate # 3 of all the ERP vendors out there. User:AlMac|(talk) 03:18, 14 July 2006 (UTC) Reply

Applications

I found several applications in what I thought was an inappropriate section, so I rearranged them a wee bit. I think part of the problem is that a person's expreience with BPCS can be colored by the type of industry you are in, which leads to WP:POV that might not be accurate for another type of industry. Can we add some history about this product? When it was first sold? Was it the reason SSA was founded? [[[User:]]||[User talk]] 15:05, 22 April 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.58.152.238 (talk)

BPCS was renamed to Infor LX: https://www.infor.com/products/lx . Shall we move this? Robin (talk) 14:49, 5 November 2022 (UTC) Reply
