Fictional Bureaucrat

[edit ]

Why the frig is there a section copied from the Hermes section of Futurama? It's not like Hermes is the ONLY fictional bureaucrat in history.

Importance in Society

[edit ]

This entire section feels like cheap propaganda more than it feels like a part of a professionally written article, these sentences in particular: "They do not let their personal beliefs interfere with business. Bureaucrats are very important. They may influence policies and choose actions that benefit our society. We need bureaucrats to shape and inform the public." Was this section perhaps written by a bureaucrat? Not that I wish to imply that bureaucrats have zero importance to daily life in society, but I feel that this section may need rewriting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.109.63.17 (talk) 08:47, 27 March 2015 (UTC) [reply ]

The section could just be deleted because it gives no new or useful information.

Negative Connotation

[edit ]

Whilst it is true that in the United Kingdom and elsewhere, bureaucrat often has a negative connotation, this is not the case in Australia where it is used in a value free way, mainly to describe a senior official. Millbanks (talk) 08:45, 29 April 2008 (UTC) [reply ]

Notable Bureaucrats and Bureaucratic philosophers

[edit ]

Instead of adding Notable Bureaucrats which could amount to any famous government official, add more Bureaucratic philosophers links to diversify the list.
