I would question the statement that "Little Children" was "allegedly about getting his girlfriend's brothers and sisters out of the way so they could make love". Firstly, it was not written by Billy J. Kramer. Secondly, the lyrics are clear. The singer wants to "kiss" the little children's sister. Anything more than that is not suggested. In the 21th century that could be presumed, but not in 1964 without a hint or a double entendre.JohnC (talk) 07:50, 27 August 2009 (UTC) [reply ]

Trains and Boats and Planes

1. Anita Harris's version released on PYE failed to reach the top 50 in the UK, and according to wikipedia PYE didn't release records in the US under their own name. According to her discography on wikipedia, the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles, and Panther Books' Rock File 4: Chart Log of American/British Top 20 Hits 1955-74, no single of this title was released by Dionne Warwick in the UK or the US. Unless anyone can prove otherwise, I intend to edit this statement to:

So: The sentence as it stands conflates UK and US chart results.

Billy J. Kramer's version reached 12 in the UK charts, 47 in the US: http://www.musicvf.com/Billy+J.+Kramer+%2526+the+Dakotas.art Anita Harris' version didn't get into the top 50 in Britain (not listed in Guinness British Hit Singles) and wasn't released in the US. Dionne Warwick's version reached 22 in the US and wasn't released in the UK: http://www.musicvf.com/Dionne+Warwick.art

Unless anyone has any objections, I intend to replace it with:
