- Did you know... that the Battle of Macau of 1622 was the only battle on Chinese soil to be fought between two European powers?
How many musketeers were there?
[edit ]These figures under "Battle" don't make sense: Portuguese records estimate that there were only 50 musketeers and 100 residents capable of bearing arms .. About 150 Portuguese musketeers entrenched at the beach. Jpatokal (talk) 04:42, 10 August 2015 (UTC) [reply ]

Why is this the only battle between two European powers on the Chinese mainland?
[edit ]Saying that the 1622 Battle of Macau was the only battle between two European powers on the Chinese mainland ignores the 1914 Siege of Tsingtao.--匿名パルチザン (talk) 13:55, 15 September 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
- The British contingent in Tsingtao were secondary to the Japanese army, if I were to take a guess why C. R. Boxer wrote it like that, if Tsingtao even crossed his mind. _dk (talk) 23:06, 15 September 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
