Style and sources

[edit ]

There is something strange about this article that I can't quite put my finger on, a feel of POV that might be clarified by reference to its sources perhaps. Andrewa (talk) 18:16, 26 July 2012 (UTC) [reply ]

Poor redirection

[edit ]

There is a redirect for "Amele" to this page. This page does not mention "Amele". There is a language Amele language, the term "Amele" should allow a reader to go to that page, not this one. Brunswicknic (talk) 02:44, 24 January 2021 (UTC) [reply ]

Incorrect information

[edit ]

The sentence "The Lukumí (or commonly called santería) religion" is incorrect. The religion is Regla de Ocha (aka. Santería) and it's practitioners are the West African Yoruba slaves brought to Cuba, commonly known as the "Lukumí"

Also, this sentence is poorly written and is a mix of English and Spanish for no reason; they didn't speak Spanish in Yorubaland, did they? :)

"he drum dates back roughly 500 years, and is believed to have been introduced by a Yoruba king named Shangó el rey del tambor."

Several other errors exist that I'll try and clean up. Vxla (talk) 14:14, 11 October 2024 (UTC) [reply ]
