Banusi and Bannuwaal

[edit ]

It is important to distinguish between Banusis and Banuwaals(Baniwol). Bannu's location and fertility have attracted many tribes and families who have migrated here over time. As a result, they have adopted the local language, customs, and assimilated into the tribe. These settlers are now commonly referred to as Banusis. However, only the Shitakzai, who were the first invaders to displace the Mangal, Hani, and Khattak tribes from Bannu, should be called Banusis. Other tribes, such as Ismail Khel (Bangash), Fatima Khel (Hani), Mughal Khel (Yousafzai), Sayyeds(Arabs), and others, should be known by their respective origins or collectively called as Bannuwaals. 2400:ADCC:134:6C00:35A4:B3BC:EECB:759A (talk) 01:56, 14 April 2023 (UTC) [reply ]

Is this Banuchi or Banusi?

[edit ]

The Pashto word "بنوڅي" can be pronounced as Banuchi or Banusi/Banisi, depending on the dialect. For instance, the word "څرنګه" is pronounced as Sarange in some dialects and Charange in others, especially in Marwatwala and related dialects. Additionally, Banuzai is not a real name but a hypothesis suggesting that Banuchi/Banusi was derived from Bannuzai, where the suffix "zai" was changed.
