Serial number
[edit ]It is not true that copies of the software not obtained from the Avid website are useless because of the serial number. Copies are frequently distributed on CD, both by Avid resellers and by computer magazines. It is true that a serial number is required, but it doesn't matter where the software is obtained. It is possible to obtain a serial number without downloading the software, just by going through the registration process; all you have to do is cancel the download as soon as you are given the serial number.
- Thanks for the info, I think the article is clearer on the subject now. -Fadookie Talk 04:05, 4 October 2006 (UTC) [reply ]
Screen Shot
[edit ]Does anyone have a better screen shot? I don't think GW giving the finger is really necessary. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Modus (talk • contribs).
- Yeaaaaah that just happened to be the video I was playing around with at the time... I'll do a "blank" one later when I have the chance. -Fadookie Talk 13:24, 12 February 2007 (UTC) [reply ]
- Okay, I took a new screenshot and used it to replace the one in the article. I think it's actually a bit more informative because it shows more important windows. As an added plus, I own the footage shown, so I've licensed the frames displayed under the GFDL.
