[edit ]The existing page has an interesting history with respect to the development and coding of AIPS, but virtually nothing about what it does, or why anyone would actually use it. I was involved in programming and porting (cf pgmtofits), but I know nothing at all about use, other than the occasional output I saw. Whbjr (talk) 02:33, 22 April 2009 (UTC) [reply ]
