Considering Arabic rules for solar letters, Wouldn't Asef ad-Dowleh be a better name for the article? Salazar the terrible (talk) 17:53, 25 June 2023 (UTC) [reply ]

I was expecting that too (not because of solar letters, I dont know anything about that tbh, more due to the inconsistent transliteration pattern of his name) but surprisingly that's the spelling both Amanat and Behrooz use. It does create some inconsistency amongst Arabic names in Iran for this period. --HistoryofIran (talk) 22:15, 25 June 2023 (UTC) [reply ]
It is not a matter of using Arabic names in Iran, Persian follows Arabic grammar in such cases. For example, it is Naser ad-Din Shah, not Naser al-Din Shah, although the wiki page for him uses the latter. I think someone should fix these names, they are definitely wrong. However since the sources mention the wrong version, I'm not sure how this should be done. Salazar the terrible (talk) 12:18, 26 June 2023 (UTC) [reply ]
