I have added some rudimentary content

This is mostly just to address the confusion between the GNU Assembler GAS and the common name AS which I think is the most needed information on this page. Do you have any sources on setting as as GNU Assembler? I'm pretty sure it's standard with GCC but I couldn't find any official references. Wqwt (talk) 05:23, 1 April 2018 (UTC) [reply ]
