Deleting My Edits

[edit ]

Please do not delete any of the information I have added for the page. This is for a school project and I will be done with it next week, the 28th of February 2014. You are free to do with it what you want after that date. Thank you very much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paulareumer (talkcontribs) 15:13, 18 February 2014 (UTC) [reply ]

Unclear caption

[edit ]

Did "Interior of a Jewish antique shop" mean a shop selling Jewish antiques, or a shop owned by Jews selling antiques? If the latter, what is the point of the assertion about the race and religion of the shop owner? Kenilworth Terrace (talk) 20:52, 26 December 2010 (UTC) [reply ]

Edits

I would like to add in some more information on this page including popular stores and what antiques stores include. It has been some time since it was edited, and I think it could use some new information and news on antique stores. Merge?

[edit ]

I'm thinking of merging Charity Shop, Junk shop, Antique shop and Used bookstore into the second-hand shop article. All of them are too fragmented, some stubs, and lots of overlapping material, and I think they'd be better under one more substantial article to explain the concepts and issues more effectively. Views welcomed before I take this on though! ohsimone (talk) 09:18, 11 October 2011 (UTC) [reply ]

My thought is that Antique shop and Used bookstore are very different stores, while you may find a used in book in an Antique shop it is probably public domain and also available on Wikisource. You are unlikely to find a wringer washer in a Used book store. Charity Shop & Junk shop, may be candidates for a merge. JeepdaySock (AKA, Jeepday) 15:22, 24 May 2012 (UTC) [reply ]
