(削除ここまで)(削除) Delete the place of publication at Paz (2006), or add the same information at each books cited. (削除ここまで)- Academic sources of high standard (among them a monography about the insurrection) are cited. Borsoka (talk) 03:35, 18 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- I tend to reference specific chapters to make verification a bit easier, but I can remove them if they're distracting. Deleted publication place for Paz. --Grnrchst (talk) 11:07, 18 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
(削除) No need for chapters. I think pages make the verification easy. (削除ここまで)Borsoka (talk) 01:29, 19 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]- Removed chapter references. --Grnrchst (talk) 10:48, 19 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Please quote the texts verifying the following sentences:
- In the Valencian city of Villena, the novelist Pío Baroja proclaimed that the Republic had killed more people in a few months than the monarchy had in forty years.
- Despite Azaña's orders, the government forces in central Catalonia would come under the command of infantry commander Humberto Gil Cabrera, who moved to end the insurrection with little bloodshed.
- On the day the ship left port, deputies of the Republican Left of Catalonia (ERC) requested that the government commute the deportation sentences.
- At this time, leaders of the social movements which the treintistas had sought to control were already preparing for another insurrection. Borsoka (talk) 03:45, 20 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
Pio Baroja, one of the best known novelists of the Generación del '98, said on 5 February in Villena: "As far as repression and violence go, the months we have had of the Republic have produced more dead on the streets of our cities than forty years of the monarchy."
(Christie 2008, p. 128)Fortunately for the workers, the government forces in the Alto Llobregat were commanded by one Humberto Gil Cabrera, who did not share Azaña’s bloodthirsty aversion for the CNT. In this region, at least, the army’s repression was not notable for its severity.
(Bookchin 1978, p. 244)The ship finally weighed anchor on 10 February from the port of Barcelona with 104 prisoners aboard. In parliament on the same day, the Catalan deputies of the federalist minority requested that the sentences of deportations be commuted.
(Casanova 2005, pp. 66-67)"Finally, the experience of January 1932 served to strengthen the position of the ‘treintistas’. ‘The defensive potential of the bourgeoisie and of the state means that the working class must develop its own potential to the full. Confronted by two powerful and cohesive forces, it would be an error, as costly as that which is currently being paid, to present a dispersed, incoherent and atomised line of battle.’ The alternative for the working class was ‘a joint action involving the totality of the organisation’. In order for this to happen, it was necessary as ‘a matter of life and death, that the CNT should be in control of the various movements’. It did not control them and even less so did it control their leaders. Some of those leaders would be involved a year later in a new insurrection.
(Casanova 2005, pp. 68-69)

(削除) Introduce the Pact of San Sebastián with two or three words. (削除ここまで)(削除) Could you avoid to use the term bourgeoisie? For me, it is not neutral. (削除ここまで)(削除) Capitalise "interior ministry". (削除) I have not read section "Aftermath", but I think it is too long. Could you shorten it by 10-15 percent? (削除ここまで)Borsoka (talk) 04:11, 18 January 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- Removed reference to the pact; Paz doesn't go into why they thought it broke the pact, and it's really not so important to the story of the insurrection.
- Neutralised non-quoted mentions of bourgeoisie.
- Capitalised.
- Clarified to "While the government ratified the constitution"
- Changed to "workers proclaimed".
- Clarified to "Civil Guards".
- Introduced.

- Cut repetition of introduction.
- Rearranged sentence.
- Resolved contradiction.
- No, there was no sign of foreign involvement. This is just something that Azaña claimed in order to justify its suppression.
- Introduced.
- Introduced.
- Cut repetition.
- Cut everything after the January 1933 insurrection, as it over-contextualises the aftermath. This alone accounted for about 10-15%.
