So, it looks like there’s some confusion between the Flavin-containing enzyme EC 1.14.13.32 (this article, and coded by FMO3) and the similar CYP sulfoxide-forming enzyme EC 1.14.14.73 (no article, and performed by CYP3A4 and CYP2J2). In particular, the KEGG page (https://www.genome.jp/dbget-bin/www_bget?enzyme+1.14.13.32) seems to be inaccurate (as of June 2026), containing a mix of information of the two types of enzymes. I have modified the article to reflect how I think things are supposed to be organized, but given the disagreement between sources, there may be errors that need to fixed later on.
