2 Girls 1 CupHungry Bitches Hungry Bitches – This is an article about a film who's trailer has a different name than the actual film. The film is called Hungry Bitches and the trailer, not the film, is called 2 Girls 1 Cup.Qxukhgiels (talk) 21:14, 26 October 2014 (UTC) Qxukhgiels (talk) 21:14, 26 October 2014 (UTC) Reply

Comment: You've used some WP:ATADP arguments here which should generally be avoided. According to the article and most sources, if a person says "I'm going to watch 2 Girls 1 Cup," they are probably going to watch the trailer. But if they are going to watch the actual film, they are probably going to say "I'm going to watch Hungry Bitches," to distinguish it from the trailer. The trailer may be more well known than the film, but this article is about the film not the trailer. And the film is unofficially nicknamed "2 Girls 1 Cup" from its trailer, but is most commonly referred to as Hungry Bitches, again, to distinguish it from the trailer. 2 Girls 1 Cup is not the WP:COMMONNAME for the film. Also to point out, the film is notable for more than just the trailer reactions, see WP:NFILM. Qxukhgiels (talk) 20:20, 28 October 2014 (UTC) Reply
  • Oppose – Per WP:Official names. "2 Girls 1 Cup" is by far the most commonly used name, while "Hungry Bitches" seems to never be used. A quick google search shows that the only page about this film that uses the name "Hungry Bitches" is the imdb page. Also, this page is at least as much about the trailer as it is about the film itself, perhaps the article should be rewritten to be about the trailer instead? Were it not for the trailer this film would not meet the notability requirements. -Cake~talk 21:45, 9 November 2014 (UTC) Reply

Rewriting

[edit ]
Latest comment: 11 years ago 1 comment1 person in discussion

Since this article is supposed to be about the trailer, and not the film, I have proposed some modifications. First is the rewriting of the lead section:

2 Girls 1 Cup is a one-minute viral shock video found on the internet. The video is a trailer for the 2007 Brazilian scat-fetish pornographic film Hungry Bitches, produced by MFX Media, and features two women conducting themselves in fetishistic intimate relations, including defecating into a cup, taking turns in what appears to be consuming the excrement, and vomiting into each others' mouths. "Lovers Theme" by Hervé Roy, from the film Delusions of Grandeur, plays throughouts the video.
The video became one of the best known shock videos in itself, and for the reactions its graphic content elicited from viewers who had not seen such content before. Around mid-October 2007, video-sharing sites including YouTube were flooded with videos depicting others' reactions to watching the video for the first time. Many other reaction videos have now appeared for similarly shocking and extreme videos.

Note that I have excluded the references. I am also going to add more about the shock videos that originated from this video and cleanup the background section. I'd like to see the opinions of other users before I rewrite the title.Qxukhgiels (talk) 23:57, 2 December 2014 (UTC) Reply

Can someone with permission to edit semi-protected pages please add a recent media reference of 2 Girls 1 Cup? Thanks. STO.OTS (talk) 11:01, 28 May 2015 (UTC) Reply

In the popular comics XKCD, there is funny Google statistics about "2 girls 1 cup" http://xkcd.com/467/

2015 British television series No Offence is a police procedural comedy-drama shown on Channel 4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Offence

Series 1 Episode 2 aired 12/05/15: During a police raid on an illegal drugs lab, police officers are exposed to drug vapours and experience significantly altered mental states. Two female (married, lesbian) Armed Response Team members and the lab's ring-leader get the worst exposure.

    Transcript of reference:

    Where's Tatu?

They were the most exposed apart from the prisoner, but he's been ventilated and he's under armed guard, so we'll give him his day in court, ma'am.

The girls did us all proud.

    Yes.

Yeah, I wouldn't go in there if I was you.

They'll be all right, won't they?

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just... whatever [drug] this turns out to be, it's got people a bit twisted.

Have you ever seen Two Girls, One Cup, ma'am?

    (Oh.)

You, you - get in there. Help that nurse... And watch your feet! It's slippy.

    Well... that went well.

    End transcript.

    About the music

    [edit ]

Herve Roy made the music used in 2girls1cup, and participated to the music in Desilusions of Grandeur, but I just rewatched Desilusions of Grandeur and the 2girls1cup music is not in it. Someone able to edit this page should correct it.

Why are we including anonymous theories and speculation?

    From the "Production" section:

It is unknown exactly how the graphic scenes in the video were produced. Many people believe that the apparent feces is composed of a mixture of food substances such as chocolate, coffee cream, peanut butter. One theory states that the woman cleaned her bowels before introducing the substance. Her rectum then instantly rejected it, creating the appearance of defecation. Some speculate that the vomit is real, but was regurgitated before reaching the stomach and does not contain any gastric acids. In the video, the majority of the vomit does not enter the mouths. However, some believe that all of these scenes were created with advanced computer graphics.[6]

The one source is every bit as vague as the above. Nobody's on the record about this. It's purely speculation. --Ben Culture (talk) 03:47, 5 July 2016 (UTC) Reply

Why Is Release Date Set in the American Way?

    [edit ]
Latest comment: 7 years ago 2 comments2 people in discussion

A film from any country in South America and Europe seems to always have DD-MM-YYYY as the main layout. Since this movie or trailer for a proper term originated from Brazil, the releasing date shouldn't be written in the American style.

It should've been written like this: 5 January 2007 NOT January 5, 2007. Seriously, it didn't come from the States.

    The Help (2011)

    [edit ]
Latest comment: 3 years ago 2 comments2 people in discussion

Did 2 Girls 1 Cup perhaps indirectly influenced The Help? A big plot twist in The Help is that Octavia Spencer's character defecates on a pie and feeds it to a racist socialite. The Help was made around the time 2 Girls 1 Cup was making the internet rounds. One can't help but wonder whether the 2 Girls 1 Cup phenomenon may have contributed to this idea. I wonder if the filmmakers heard or maybe even seen 2 Girls 1 Cup, and then came up with this idea. I don't think the poop pie was in the novel the movie based on so I think it was the filmmakers' idea and they may have been inspired by 2 Girls 1 Cup.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.72.3.79 (talk) 15:14, 23 July 2022 (UTC) Reply

We would need a source to verify this, otherwise it's just speculation. Richard75 (talk) 14:49, 3 October 2022 (UTC) Reply

Latest comment: 2 years ago 1 comment1 person in discussion

This is after all the original name of the movie and would be more appropriate as a formal name. You don't see other movies being called by their nicknames in the title of wikipedia articles, by the same logic this shouldnt either One consideration is that most people would know this as "2 girls 1 cup" and this article would no longer appear on google searches for "2 girls 1 cup" if it was to be renamed. Can any SEO experts leave their thoughts on if this would be a problem or nah? 2A00:23CC:B589:EF01:3997:E50B:3BCB:4F30 (talk) 11:49, 17 February 2024 (UTC) Reply
