We all know it was him. Just because he was found incompetent to stand trial doesn't mean he was simply "accused". I don't know I could be wrong if we want to stick to the legal sense of word. Qwexcxewq (talk) 05:19, 28 February 2023 (UTC) Reply
- Absolutely not. He becomes the perpetrator once a court finds him guilty. Wikipedia does not operate on "we all know". WWGB (talk) 05:48, 28 February 2023 (UTC) Reply
- I think it's fine now that the suspect's lawyers have acknowledged that he was the shooter. You can say a person did something without calling them a criminal. For example, saying "Alice killed Bob" is not the same as saying she murdered him. Whether or not a person is found guilty of murder does not change the fact that they killed — or didn't kill — someone. It's not libel or slander to state facts. In this particular case, the question is not "whodunit," but whether or not the shooter was sane at the time. I don't see an issue if the information is not disputed. Ruger AR-556 is listed here as a pistol, but it is a semi-automatic AR-style rifle. It is marketed as a pistol by Ruger to bypass laws, but it was initially marketed as a rifle and, by definition, is a rifle. (Lawsuit still on-going) Rmm.pharmd (talk) 19:59, 13 June 2025 (UTC) Reply
