Contradictory claims

The first paragraph says "perpetrators were mostly Kurdish members of the Iraqi Communist Party [ICP], although many Arab members participated in the massacre as well", and later it says although the massacre had Kurdish nationalist motives, many of the perpetrators had been Arab members of the ICP. In addition to the Kurdish and Arab members of the ICP, many perpetrators of the massacre were part of the Popular Resistance Force (PRF). I don't have access to the two sources cited, but at least the main paragraph shouldn't better express who were the main perpetrators? DreamHourFlight (talk) 21:44, 30 November 2025 (UTC) Reply

Misrepresentation of cited source

@Ilamxan on your recent edit: The cited source says "Turkmen literary and linguistic-communal consciousness flourished during Qasim's regime." The Wikipedia sentence says "Iraqi Turkmen nationalist activities grew." These are not the same thing. The word "nationalist" appears nowhere (except "Kurdish nationalism") in the cited pages for this claim and the author quite visibly chose not to use it. Editors cannot make that leap for them, that would be synthesis.

I only have limited access to the cited source and could not verify that it supports this content, which is why I'm raising it here. If the source explicitly supports "nationalist activities" somewhere I couldn't access, please quote the relevant passage. Otherwise this needs to be corrected to reflect what the source actually says. Nobedarê Dunav (talk) 13:35, 14 April 2026 (UTC) Reply

Thank you for pointing it out, I will fix it. I'll remove it for now and add it back properly when I review all my source collection because I'm busy with another topic right now. Ilamxan (talk) 14:03, 14 April 2026 (UTC) Reply
