[edit ]Hi, Are you sure about the date stated for the sinking of the SS Orianda? The article says 17th Feb but I have a few contrary facts: This article has the date as 11th Feb: http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/th/read/GLAMORGAN/2006-12/1166788067 My Great Grandfather was Second Engineer on the Orianda and lost his life in the tragedy. His death certificate records his death as 20th February. Any ideas? Kingbumpkin (talk) 10:16, 30 July 2009 (UTC) [reply ]
Actually, just found a Liverpool Echo article which has date as "midnight on Saturday" which would confirm that it was 17th Feb. The date of death of my grt grandfather must have been the date they found his body.
