This article is written in Hong Kong English , which has its own spelling conventions (colour, realise, travelled) and some terms may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
(1) It is not clear if John Eitel was an actual eyewitness or just reports on this typhoon in his book. (2) The current text is not in great agreement with wording used in his book (p.514). Gierszep (talk) 22:07, 1 March 2015 (UTC) Reply
