The Creation of 11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass
[edit ]I have created the page 11 Birthdays, which is based on the young-adult novel written by Wendy Mass. This novel in particular has shown a lot of increasing interest and popularity, and creating this page is a good way for parents to see what their "young-adult" is reading about.
Heading and Topic Explanation
[edit ]I have included a brief summary at the top of the page for those just browsing and then a much more in-depth plot summary that has three subtitles in it. I have separated these into three parts because I feel like this leads to a clearer summary, as it can sometimes be easy to get lost when reading through summaries. This just helps keep the first important character interactions separate and lets the audience get an immediate idea of the general background information.
I have also separated each paragraph by each important day Amanda wakes up to chronologically. This is so that the information doesn't get jumbled and mashed together. I find that it's easier to follow things when your mentally taking a quick break after reading about something that has happened, such as the days events, before diving into more!
I have also added a little information about the author, I have linked her to her own page though, which is why there is not a large amount of information about her. I feel as if that would be a little redundant. I have included a section about the reception and the awards received so that parents can know some of the main comments and awards about this novel. Lastly I have included an external links section. I have specifically included this for anyone who would like to know information about the author, the awards and nominations this book has received, and information about the publisher for purposes of knowing what other kinds of books they publish.
Anyone is welcome to add, remove, or change things if they believe they can improve this page! Suggestions and changes are always welcome!
