- The .45 Schofield article says that it can usually be fired in .45 Colt chambers. There may be a unacceptable difference in rim thickness. YMMV. Safety first, always. AliveFreeHappy (talk) 22:14, 17 April 2009 (UTC) Reply

The statement that ...The new Casull round uses a small rifle primer rather than a pistol primer, because it develops extremely high chamber pressures of over 60,000 CUP (copper units of pressure) (410 MPa), and has a significantly stronger cup than a pistol primer.... seems to imply that the Casull round uses a small rifle primer because it has ... features of that part. The sentance should be changed to reflect the need, rather than the use because it has. - In fact, the section does not correctly represent the differences between the SPP and SRP, as described accurately by this engineer with the Sierra Bullet Company: https://www.sierrabullets.com/primer-substitutions/ I think that it is not important in THIS article to go beyond stating that the 454 Casull cartridge is designed to use an SRP.
