Source I used is less than one month old. You uses Czech language source. Any chance the difference is based on that? Do you have any English language source with that name Arthistorian1977 (talk) 19:15, 13 January 2016 (UTC) [reply ]
In the second link (2) is stated, that the name which Škoda has registered at December 23, 2015 is not Kodiak but Kodiaq. Since then, all other mentioned Czech sources uses name Kodiaq. Q should refers to a type of car, SUV or crossover, which are together with the letter X occasionally used for cars of a similar kind, especially in the related Audi.
