Placido Gaslini was a male tennis player from Italy.
Biography
[edit ]Gaslini, a Milanese lawyer and business man he was son of a banker,[1] was a Davis Cup player and a tennis player, also playing the 1930 Wimbledon tournament.[2]
In 1926 he had a flirtation with the legendary tennis player Suzanne Lenglen.[3] [4]

Papà Gaslini, noto banchiere, era stato anche lui un tennista, accanitissimo a frequentare i campi di Premeno, "piccola Wimbledon italiana", dove i Gaslini tenevano villa.

Fra i suoi amori un imprenditore milanese, Placido Gaslini, che la chiamava "mon petit arabe" a causa del turbante che spesso indossava, e la portò a giocare al Tennis Milano, da Bonacossa. Quando Suzanne appariva al fianco del suo Placido a Villa d'Este, piuttosto che al Tennis Roma, per delle esibizioni, si vedevano arrivare fiumane di gente che si litigavano i biglietti.
