Nikkō Station (日光駅, Nikkō-eki) is a railway station in the city of Nikkō, Tochigi, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East).
Lines
[edit ]Nikkō Station forms the terminus of the Nikkō Line, and is located 40.5 kilometers from the opposing terminus of the line at Utsunomiya.

[edit ]The station consists of two opposed side platforms, connected to the station building by a footbridge. The station has a Midori no Madoguchi staffed ticket office.

History
[edit ]Nikkō Station opened on 1 August 1890.[1] With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East.[1]

[edit ]In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 1046 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[2]
