  • Tonga A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Neiafu, Tonga on May 8 at a depth of 130.8 km (81.3 mi).
  • Taiwan A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Yilan, Taiwan on May 15 at a depth of 10.0 km (6.2 mi). One person was killed and another was injured.
  • Tanzania A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Tanzania on May 18 at a depth of 10.0 km (6.2 mi). Two people were killed and 690 houses were destroyed.[19]
  • Alaska A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck King Cove, Alaska on May 25 at a depth of 33.0 km (20.5 mi).
  • Argentina A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Arauco, Argentina on May 28 at a depth of 22.2 km (13.8 mi), 27 People were injured.
  • Taiwan A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck Hualien City, Taiwan on May 28 at a depth of 33.0 km (20.5 mi).

  • China A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck Sichuan, China on August 8 at a depth of 33.0 km (20.5 mi). Eight houses were destroyed and 66 damaged in Rulong.[24]
  • Northern Mariana Islands A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck The Northern Mariana Islands on August 14 at a depth of 30.0 km (18.6 mi).
  • Indonesia A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Sulawesi, Indonesia on August 15 at a depth of 10.0 km (6.2 mi), 48 people were injured.
  • Fiji A magnitude 7.8 Earthquake struck Fiji on August 19 at a depth of 580.0 km (360.4 mi).
  • Fiji A magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck Fiji on August 19 at a depth of 675.4 km (419.7 mi). It is considered a doublet of the 7.8 earthquake 7 minutes warlier.
  • Egypt A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck Cairo, Egypt on August 24 at a depth of 10.0 km (6.2 mi). At least 44 houses were damaged in Cairo.[25]

  • Italy A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Santa Flavia, Italy on September 6 at a depth of 5.0 km (3.1 mi), 2 People Died From Heart Attacks.
  • Papua New Guinea A magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck East Sepik, Papua New Guinea on September 8 at a depth of 13.0 km (8.1 mi), 6 people were killed and 70 More were injured.
  • India A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck Bombooflat, India on September 21 at a depth of 21.0 km (13.0 mi), 2 people were killed.
  • United Kingdom A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck the West Midlands region of the United Kingdom, with its epicentre being in Dudley, on September 22 at a depth of 9.4 km (5.8 mi). One person suffered injuries and minor damage occurred in Dudley. The earthquake was felt as far as Cardiff, Wales.[26]
