Orange Line 12 (Extension), or the Kalyan-Dombivli-Taloja Line is a under construction line of Mumbai Metro. It will be an extension of Orange Line. The total length of the line will be 22.17 kilometres (13.78 mi), and the route will be completely elevated. The total cost of construction is confirmed to be Rs 2037.20 crore.[1] MMRDA approved the Kalyan-Dombivli-Taloja Metro line. There will be 19 stations. This line will connect Navi Mumbai city with Kalyan-Dombivali city.[2]
As of March 2025 construction and pier work has started and is expected to be completed by 2027
It is planned to connect to proposed Munbai Metro line 14 (Kanjurmarg-Badlapur)
It will connect to under construction orange line 5 at Kalyan and Navi mumbai metro phase-1 at Amandoot
Delhi Metro authority had shown red flag to Kalyan-Dombivli-Taloja Metro, with Revenue Opening Date (ROD) as 01/11/2024. MMRDA in its 138th Authority Meeting held on 26/08/2015 vide Resolution No. 1340 has granted In-principle Approval to develop growth Centre in Kalyan Taluka (area approx. 1089 Ha.)
