[edit ]As per 2011 Census of India Hatgachha had a total population of 5,980 of which 3,086 (52%) were males and 2,894 (48%) were females. Population below 6 years was 558. The total number of literates in Hatgachha was 4,842 (89.30% of the population over 6 years).[1]
Hatgachha was part of Kolkata Urban Agglomeration in 2011 census.[2]
