Eileen O'Brien is a camogie player, who lines out with Blackwater Camogie Club.

Later career

She has picked up the club player of the year accolade twice,[1] and has been short-listed for it many more times. O'Brien cycles everywhere so that she can play for her club. This is the level of dedication she brings to the sport. She is often seen by passersby cycling from her home all the time. She has been involved in many All Ireland Club Championship games with her club Blackwater Camogie Club. She has also taken on administrative work within the sport, following on from her mother.[2]

Early career

O'Brien scored 0-11 in one final when she was 14.[citation needed ] She won 7 All Ireland medals at different grades when she was a little girl.[citation needed ] She was one of the most successful players in the history of the All Ireland second level schools championships, winning one junior, two senior and four seven-a-side colleges medals with Coláiste Bríde, Enniscorthy.
