This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (The subject is a core developer for the Squid Web Cache and a primary architect of the FreeBSD wireless stack, as documented by OSNews and Phoronix. He meets WP:NPERSON for his significant influence in the field of open-source networking) --Legendaryrob (talk) 23:37, 25 March 2026 (UTC) [reply ]

Contested deletion

[edit ]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (I am contesting this speedy deletion (A7) because the subject’s work has a documented impact across multiple operating systems, not just FreeBSD. As a developer at Qualcomm Atheros, Chadd collaborated directly with the Linux ath9k team to open-source and debug wireless drivers. This 'cross-pollination' between FreeBSD and Linux (documented in OSNews and Phoronix) provided the foundation for stable, high-speed WiFi support on millions of Linux and BSD devices globally. Furthermore, his work on the Netflix Open Connect appliance is a landmark in CDN engineering history. This article asserts significant industry-wide influence, not just a career history.) --Legendaryrob (talk) 05:19, 26 March 2026 (UTC) [reply ]
