Mowzie's Mobs is a Minecraft mod, developed & written by Bob Mowzie. The mod includes fantasy creatures & different structures. The mod received slightly positive comments. As of February 2026, it received 94 million downloads.

Overview

Mowzie's Mobs is a Minecraft mod. It includes tribal warriors called Barakoa and a boss mob, Barako the Sunchief, in early 2024, it replaced Umvuthana, a pack of birds & the Umvuthi the Sunbird, a giant bird with white feathers and orange tail fan. The Naga is a mob inspired by mythological naga. A giant armored creature called Ferrous Wroughnat, a boss mob welding an axe, then deals 30 HP of damage (similar how Warden from Minecraft). Grottols are undamagable mobs, it can be only picked up with a pickaxe rather than sword or fist. Fooliath is a plant mob, chomps every mob except Ferrous Wroughnat & other Fooliaths. A recent addition, Tongbi the Sculptor. A monk Simian being with monk outfit. Can be rewarded with a gauntlet (inspired by real-life gauntlets). The bluff mob is an elemental mob, similar to Blaze or Breeze model in Vanilla Minecraft. Lanterns, are harmless mobs that cannot attack players and other mobs. Frostmaw, a giant ice breathing mob. Bilokosa, a primate jungle dwellers with claws, tail and glowing eyes. Bilokosa was teased in September 27, 2025 showcased on "Biloko Preview", a YouTube video, a mod update 1.8.0, released on March 4, 2026 alongside the Bilokosa Howler.

In 2015, Mowzie's Mobs mod was released in Minecraft Forums website. Bob Mowzie released Mowzie's Mobs mod on CurseForge.

In 2019/2020, Mowzie's Mobs added the Naga (based on a mythological Naga) and Grottol. The mod update, added Barakoyas (the barakoas caused by Sunchief) in 2021. However, in early 2024, they added Umvuthi the Sunbird and Umvuthana (removed Barakoa and Barako the Sunchief) showcased "Barakoa Rework" in 2023. In the 1.7.0 update, the mod added Tongbi the Sculptor and Bluff mob, also added the monastery, raked sand in 2025.

Mowzie's Mobs mod launched his merchandise on Etsy in early 2024. A Frostmaw plushie was expected to be in Makeship, but did not make it. In February 2025, Mowzie's Mobs released in Bedrock via Minecraft Marketplace.
