Dustin Holland of Comic Book Resources called Giant-Size Black Cat: Infinity Score #1 an "exciting and heartfelt" issue. He praised Jed MacKay's writing for balancing Felicia Hardy's humor with the more serious consequences of her life as a thief, and said the comic book gives readers a "glimpse into Felicia's inner life." Holland also complimented C.F. Villa's artwork, especially the climactic fight scene, and felt the ending gave Black Cat the "heroic ending she deserves."[26] Adam Barnhardt of ComicBook.com gave Giant-Size Black Cat: Infinity Score #1 a grade of 4.5 out of 5, describing it as a strong conclusion to Jed MacKay's run on Black Cat. He said MacKay succeeds at making "these bombastic heroes as human as they can be" and complimented the story's personal, heartfelt focus despite its use of the Infinity Stones. Barnhardt also described the issue as "packed to the brim with heart" and considered it an effective finale for the series.[27]
