Its service area first covered Greater Houston-Galveston, but has since expanded to other regions of Texas, including Prairie View, Bryan-College Station, and Dallas-Fort Worth. The fellowship added a Junior Fellow Program for undergraduate students in 2016 and a Scholars Program[4] for post-graduate pediatric residents in 2022.

As of 2024, the organization has nine staff and 14 members on their Board of Directors.
