Canisy (French pronunciation: [kanizi] ) is a commune in the Manche department in Normandy in north-western France. On 1 January 2017, the former commune of Saint-Ébremond-de-Bonfossé was merged into Canisy.[3]

- The Vairy Or and gules is from the arms of the de Kergorlay family, former lords of Canisy and still owners of the castle.
