Amazfit

Amazfit is a brand of smartwatches and fitness trackers owned by Zepp Health, a company founded in China as Huami and listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Since 2025 the owner has had its principal executive offices in the Netherlands, with operating entities in China.^{[1] [2]} The brand was created in September 2015, and the first Amazfit smartwatch was introduced in 2016.^{[3] [4]} In China the brand has carried the name 跃我 (pinyin :Yuèwǒ) since 2021.^[5]

Huami, a Chinese company backed by Xiaomi that designed and manufactured Xiaomi's Mi Band fitness trackers, launched Amazfit in September 2015 as its own wearables brand. The first product was a pendant-style activity tracker.^[3] The first Amazfit smartwatch followed in August 2016.^[4] In April 2017, Huami launched the Amazfit Health Band.^[6]

In 2018, the company began selling the Amazfit Bip, a budget smartwatch.^[7] In September 2018, Huami said it had developed the Huangshan-1, which it described as the first RISC-V-based artificial-intelligence chipset for smart wearables.^[8] That month it also announced the Amazfit Verge smartwatch and, in China, the Amazfit Health Band 1S.^[9]

Chinese technology media reported quality complaints about early Amazfit GTR watches, including screens that scratched easily and inaccurate positioning.^[10]

In April 2020, Huami partnered with a laboratory led by Zhong Nanshan to use wearable devices to track activity of survivors of respiratory diseases.^[11]

In February 2021, Huami changed its name to Zepp Health.^[12] In October 2021, at the launch of the GTR 3 and GTS 3 watches, the company introduced a Chinese brand name for Amazfit, 跃我 (pinyin :Yuèwǒ), together with a new logo and the slogan "Up Your Game", developed with the brand consultancy Landor.^{[5] [13]}

In 2023, the company introduced the Amazfit Balance smartwatch,^{[14] [15]} and followed with the Balance 2 in 2025.^[16] At CES 2024 the brand entered the smart-ring market with the titanium Helio Ring.^[17] In 2025 Amazfit signed several athlete ambassadors, including Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry, its first NFL sponsorship.^[18]

Zepp Pay is an NFC cashless payment service supported by Amazfit wearable products, introduced with the first Balance watch in 2023.^[14] The company lists 33 European countries that issue cards usable with Zepp Pay.^[19]

Amazfit's owner Zepp Health, formerly Huami, was for most of its history described as a Chinese company headquartered in Hefei and was long the exclusive designer and manufacturer of Xiaomi-branded wearables.^[20] In May 2025 it relocated its principal executive offices to Gorinchem in the Netherlands; the company owns no factories and relies on contract manufacturers to produce Amazfit devices, with production it said was dual-sourced across China and Vietnam in 2025.^{[1] [2] [21]} By the mid-2020s, Amazfit products were the main driver of Zepp Health's revenue.^[22]
