The city of El Paso, Texas held elections for mayor, city council, municipal court judge, and municipal court of appeals judge on November 5, 2024.[1] The filing deadline was on August 19, 2024.[1]

Renard Johnson was elected the first black mayor of El Paso.[2]

2024 special election

On January 20, 2024, school board member Joshua Acevedo defeated lawyer Veronica Carbajal in a city council runoff special election by a margin of 10.2%.[8] Acevedo assumed office on January 30, 2024.[9]
