The 1987 Ohio State Buckeyes football team represented the Ohio State University as a member of the Big Ten Conference during the 1987 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led by Earle Bruce in his ninth and final season as head coach, the Buckeyes compiled an overall record of 6–4–1 with a mark of 4–4 in conference play, placing fifth in the Big Ten. The team played home games at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
