The Mediatrix Telecom team was the Philippine representative that the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) sent to compete in the 2004 FIBA Asia Club Championships held from May 15 to May 22, 2004 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.[1]

Placing in the Asian Club Championships
[edit ]The Mediatrix team, led by Coach Nelson Kallos[3] and Assistant Coach Igmidio Cahanding[4] , finished dead last among 16 competing teams in the Asian Club Championships. Basketball fans and observers in the Philippines lamented and decried the mediocre showing of the Mediatrix team[5] , which gained the right to represent the country by winning the National Basketball League Invitational held on February 29, 2009.[6]
