Funny idea, but I'd work on the tone of the story. UnNews is generally funniest when the reporter sounds really serious, especially if the subject matter is something extremely bizarre and over-the-top. For ideas on how to make it sound like more of a formal news story, read wikipedia articles and try to mimic the writing style as best you can.
