While we're on the topic of the top 10...

We had a top 14 last year, because we're not dealing properly with ties. If two articles tie for first, the next one down the list would be third, not second. There's no specific, detailed way to deal with ties. It's fine to do it Modus's way when you're alotting positions in a competition. However, we're alotting the top ten, not places one to ten. What use is the title of "one of the top ten articles of the year", when there are thirteen articles voted as better? -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey) 22:20, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

That would be ideal, but I'm not clear on how to break last-place ties. If, in theory, you had 9 articles with a score of +7 or more, and then you had 6 articles with a score of +6... what then? Tinymasaru.gif pillow talk 19:32, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
