ETC Talks Trains
Edison Tech Center recently published a number of videos and articles on train technologies. The ETC team compiled information for 8 months last year going to the Royal Gorge Railroad, Durango and Silverton Railroad and Oregon Coast Scenic Railway to showcase the fascinating technology behind diesel and steam trains.
New publications fill in a gap in our curriculum and shed light on the role of mechanical and electrical engineers in the designs. As usual our videos allow us to have engineers talk about the technical side of the machines without pandering to pop-science trends or filtering out 'overly' technical descriptions.
Our web articles on the other hand do describe things so that anyone can get an understanding and appreciation of the technology. Our web articles are targeted at younger potential engineers aged 10-25, however any adult, even without technical training can benefit from our content.
