APTA promotes trucking in Atlantic Canada, through lobbying and offering services and products to members.


Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance

CVSA is a safety organization representing federal, state, and provincial government agencies, and representatives from private industry in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Brings enforcement and industry agencies together.


FCA / NACT

Freight Carriers Association of Canada and the North American Transportation Council together provide U.S. and Canadian motor carriers and their customers information on matters related to economics, costing, pricing as well as monitoring of operating costs.


FleetSmart

This program of Natural Resources Canada helps fleet managers improve fleet performance and reduce operating costs through increased energy efficiency. (French and English.)


National Motorists Association (U.S.)

The Wisconsin-based National Motorists Association (NMA) was founded in 1982 to represent and protect the interests of North American motorists. Grassroots organization "believes in freedom and responsibility to make choices, not in "one size fits all" legislation, ticket cameras, unfair driving taxes, revenue-motivated traffic courts and speed traps. The NMA supports traffic laws based on sound engineering principles and public consensus - not political agendas."


Ontario Trucking Association

OTA was founded in Canada in 1926, and provides services and public policy advocacy for trucking companies. Has about 1700 member companies.


OOIDA

The Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association was founded in 1973 and is a national trade association representing professional truckers in the USA and Canada. Now has 50,000 members.


Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario

A team of dedicated professionals whose goal is to improve and unify truck driver training standards, resulting in highly skilled, better prepared, entry-level and re-certified commercial drivers.
