New photo for Amenemhet IV.
Dear Muck, I uploaded this very rare gold plaque of Amenemhat IV here: File:Gold plaque of Amenemhat IV.jpg because the flickr account owner agreed to license the image freely.
- A few hours later, user Felix uploaded a cropped and rotated version of this image below:
- File:Gold plaque of Amenemhat IV (cropped and rotated).jpg
Feel free to use it in this king's German wikipedia article...if you wish. Use any photo that you like. Sadly, this is the only gold item know for Amenemhat IV and it is a gold plaque found in Byblos, Lebanon. Best, --Leoboudv (Diskussion) 22:44, 25. Nov. 2024 (CET) Beantworten
- This is the British Museum description of this object with an unfree image. Best, --Leoboudv (Diskussion) 14:13, 26. Nov. 2024 (CET) Beantworten
- I just have also added this picture to the corresponding article. LG -- Muck (Diskussion) 15:40, 23. Dez. 2024 (CET) Beantworten
Ostracon for Ramses VIII.
Dear Muck, This is likely my last contribution to Egyptology wikipedia in 2024 but I managed to source and get this flickr image licensed freely:
It shows Prince Sethirkhepsef who later became Ramses VIII. Merry Christmas to you and your family and hopefully the people from Magdeburg will heal from the terrible Islamist terrorist attack in Magdeburg. Kind Regards from Canada, --Leoboudv (Diskussion) 04:05, 23. Dez. 2024 (CET) Beantworten
- PS: The English wikipedia Article on this shortlived king has a bit more information about his reign including his Year 1 document. Best, --Leoboudv (Diskussion) 04:08, 23. Dez. 2024 (CET) Beantworten
- Thank you dear Leoboudv. I just have put the picture of the ostracon from Prince Sethirkhepsef into the german articel. Also merry Christmas to you and your family in Canada! -- Muck (Diskussion) 15:19, 23. Dez. 2024 (CET) Beantworten
Better image for Kamose
Dear Muck, Wikipedia has been using and old 2008 and low resolution image of Kamose's coffin here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sarcophage-Kamose.jpg
But today I managed to get a newer and higher resolution image licensed free for wikipedia here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Coffin_of_King_Kamose_2017.jpg You can use it for his wikipedia article.
I also got a votive boat model that Kamose is thought to have donated for Queen Ahhotep I.'s burial here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Gold_and_Silver_Boat_of_Queen_Ahhotep_I.jpg
- For Your information, I managed to get a free image of Tutankhamun's real crown here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Gold_Diadem_or_Crown_of_Tutankhamun.jpg

Better image for Sesostris-II.-Pyramide
Dear Muck,
Wikipedia has an old black and white image of Sesostris II's sarcophaugus in his pyramid. But I managed to get a newer colour image uploaded of the sarcophagus here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Senusret_II%E2%80%99s_sarcophagus_in_his_Lahun_Pyramid.jpg

- I also got a better image of Siptah's sarcophagus Over here...which is better than this previous low resolution version
- Just in case you are interested, 2 weeks ago, I created an English language article on Dush, Egypt where the Treasure of Dush was discovered in 1989 by French Egyptologists. One final image of Senusret II's pyramid
Dear Muck,
I got this image licensed freely for Senusret II's pyramid: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Side_Passage_of_Senusret_II%E2%80%99s_pyramid.jpg Today, the person who licensed the image says the pyramid of Senusret II is unstable and prone to rockfalls...with one happening in 2024. Access to the pyramid is very limited without a security detail. Its like risking your life to take these pictures. Best, --Leoboudv (Diskussion) 14:46, 26. Jan. 2025 (CET) Beantworten
