Lea Mornar

Lea Mornar (* 9. November 1972 in Split, Jugoslawien) ist eine kroatische Schauspielerin und ein Model. was born in Split, ex Yugoslavia, now Croatia. With age 17 she escaped from the war. She ended up in London. She was cast in a string of music videos for high profile artists including Suede "Trash" and Muse "Uno". Her performance in the music clip "Bonnie & Clyde" for the German punk band Die Toten Hosen got her the lead part in the film "Love Your Neighbour" by German director Detlev Buck. More German movies followed, as well as several UK, Austrian and Italian productions including "Joy Division" by Reg Traviss and "The Truth" by George Milton. Lea recently played the lead role in the American film "The Pagan Queen" directed by Constantin Werner. New movies with Lea in the lead role are to be released this year. "Method" directed by Ulas Inac, a German Turkish co production and the German Film "Why Lulu" directed by Kai Wessel. Lea is fluent in Croatian, English, German and Italian. Beside acting Lea is also writing. She's just being published in a German Magazine "Merian".

Sie wuchs im kroatischen Split auf. 1991 musste sie ihr Heimatland verlassen und lebte bis 1995 in Rom. Dort begann sie eine erfolgreiche Model-Karriere, die sie über Paris und London nach München führte. Erste Filmerfahrungen sammelte Lea Mornar durch Auftritte in Video-Clips von Suede und den Toten Hosen (Bonnie & Clyde vom Album Opium fürs Volk). Eine erste Hauptrolle spielte sie 1998 in Detlev Bucks Film Liebe deine Nächste. Ihre Darstellung der Josefine brachte ihr Platz drei bei der Verleihung des New Faces Award 1999 ein. Es folgten weitere Rollen in internationalen Film- und Kinoproduktionen. Außerdem spielte sie verschiedene Rollen in deutschsprachigen Fernsehproduktionen, unter anderem in Polizeiruf 110 und SOKO Kitzbühel.
