I'm UG, a volunteer here at Commons and at the online encyclopedia Wikipedia. Above everything else I do, I enjoy writing articles. I'll write on any topic, but I would have to say I enjoy writing biographies the most, particularly the early life portion. I think the early life portion gives a good sense of the person and gives a good perspective of their subsequent success/significance in life. I also enjoy writing on less well know topics since I feel that plays an important part in giving every single person on the planet access to the sum of all human knowledge.

My online batteries get recharged when someone thanks me for something I did or when I learn someone outside of Wikipedia enjoyed what I wrote. If you have been in the news and would like to have an article written about yourself or have the Wikipedia article about your life improved, please feel free to ask on my talk page, particularly if you are willing to upload photos to Wikimedia Commons for use in the Wikipedia article.

My Wikipedia interests seem to float and I've dipped my toe in most places within Wikipedia. When I'm not writing/expanding articles, I'm usually at AfD, COIN, MfD, DRV. etc. When I log on, I often have no plan and usually head wherever the wind takes me. That's given me a good sense of how things work within Commons and Wikipedia, so if you've been frustrated by one or another aspects of Wikipedialand, I would be happy to help you out.
